AFZ Signs Land Leases
On 9/6/2010 a number of land leases were signed at Aden Free Zone (AFZ) headquarter at Caltex area by various investment companies and corporations intended for establishing industrial projects. Such projects will surely contribute in mobilizing AFZ activity.
Likewise they will extend supporting services required by other industrial projects.
The signing of these land leases are intended to meet investors wish to have actual and practical partnership in the economic development for the country in general and for Aden in particular through diversification and expansion in investment activities.
The private sector is keen to achieve the principle of partnership for attaining an economic and social development. The implementation of such projects shall certainly contribute in availing work opportunities for Yemeni workforce.Thus a reasonable portion of unemployment will be eradicated.
Worth mentioning Dr. Abdul Galil Alshaibi AFZ chairman and Alawi Albar the G.M. of the Saudian bin-Laden Group Company's (Yemen branch) signed a land lease for establishing Pre-cast Concrete Production Plant at (L) sector, AFZ on an area of 64,000 m2 at an investment cost of more than U$4,500,000.
An other land lease was signed with Vinicia Company for General Trade and Industries Ltd. for establishing Vinicia Plant for Paper at (L) sector on an area of 50,000 m2 at an investment cost of more than U$ 6,500,000 signed by Mansoor Huraibi, the company owner and Dr. Al-Shibi, AFZ chairman.
A third land lease was also signed by Husein Saleh Mubarak Hamami, the G.M. of Inma Company for Property Development on which industrial development compound will be established with an area of 147736.8 m2 at an investment cost of more than U$700,000.
