Indian Industrialists Confederation (CII) Delegation Visits AFZ

In the scope of CII delegation visit program to Yemen, it paid a visit to the Arab Plant for Iron & Steel at (L) sector, Aden Free Zone (AFZ) on 29/5/2010.
The visit was intended to get first hand information on one of the successful projects in AFZ.
Arrangement was made for the delegation to attend a big gathering in AFZ administration head quarter on the same day attended by AFZ general directors, a group of investors, Chamber of Commerce & Industry leadership, a number of businessmen headed by sheikh Mohamed Omar Bamashmoos, vice chairman of Yemen Chambers of Commerce & Industry Federation and chairman of Aden Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Dr. Fatimah Omar, general director of AFZ marketing & promotion delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Dr. Abdul Galil Al-Shaibe, AFZ chairman addressed to the visiting delegation in the forefront of which H.E.the Indian Ambassador, highlighting the strength and depth of Yemeni-Indian relations which are still playing a decisive role in the growth and development of all industrial and social fields.
Surely it shall materialize soon through establishing a lot of economic projects in AFZ.
Sheikh Bamashmoos expressed his sincere happiness towards the delegation visit which was a proof of India sincere wish to invest in Aden city in particular and Yemen in general.
H.E. the Indian Ambassador appreciated in his speech the distinguished role played by AFZ at head of which Dr. Al-Shaibi, AFZ chairman in attracting foreign investments and facilities and advantages offered by AFZ to stream line and smooth all difficulties and hindrances.
Mr. Naeem Arrahman, the delegation head pointed to the good hospitality and the delegation members wish to get information on available investment opportunities.Likewise to have consultation with Yemeni business men to open common cooperation channels for implementing a number of industrial,commercial and service projects.
Worth mentioning, the CII delegation arrived in Sana'a on Friday 27/5/2010.A big meeting was held in Yemen Chambers of Commerce and Industry General Federation in Sana'a attended by members of the Federation,business men and Dr. Al-Shaibi, AFZ chairman who gave full illustration on the available investment opportunities in AFZ and the advantages and facilities extended by AFZ welcoming at the same time the Indian investments.
On the conclusion of the meeting a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Yemeni Chambers General Federation and CII delegation.
