AFZ and Salim Hilabi Co. Ltd. Sign a Land Lease

Dr.Abdul Galil Al-Shaibi the chairman of Aden Free Zone (AFZ) and Faris Khalid bin Hilabi representing Salim Wazran Hilabi Company for Food Stuff Industries Ltd. signed a land lease on 9/5/2010 at Aden Free Zone (AFZ) headquarter.The area of the land leased is 108544m2 situated at (L)sector,AFZ in which a plant for the production of quick-prepared vermicelli (indomi)shall be established.Its investment cost estimated at U$20,000,000 and will be implemented through two phases.
"The company has many branches in various countries (Indonesia,Saudi Arabia,Egypt and Syria).It is a Yemeni-British joint company"said Faris Hilabi.
"Its annual production capacity shall reach 208980000 pieces maximum.The project implementation shall commence within this month; the actual production in mid of next year,export of the products shall be directed to African Horn countries exploiting the strategic location of Aden city and its historically famed port.The company Is also going to establish a number of projects related to food stuff industries in AFZ in the near future, such as biscuit production"stated Faris Hilabi.
AFZ chairman pointed to the importance of such joint-venture and the role it played in availing work opportunities,eliminating a portion of unemployment and contributing in the development process.
